Savita signs all the documents needed for surgery. Brij is unconscious. Doctors are operating on him. Ravi clears all the hospital bills. Everyone is praying for Brij. Chanchal is crying profusely. Amit consoles her. Savita confidently stands strong with positive belief that nothing will happen to Brij and he will get well soon. Savita goes inside the ICU room. Brij gains some consciousness and asks Savita to hold her hand as he couldn’t sleep without holding her hand. Doctor comes and declares Brij dead. Savita screams at Brij. Everyone gets shattered and couldn’t control their tears. Seeing them, Savita decides to stand strong. Shukla ji comes with a cheque from Bank Employees but Savita refuses to take any kind of help from them. Ravi gives Mukhagni to Brij.

Happy in their home, Brijmohan and Savita are excited to welcome their children on the occasion of Diwali. Savita prepares mouthwatering savouries while Brijmohan leaves no stone unturned to decorate the house and make all the necessary arrangements for their children. Brij reads in the newspaper about the scam in his bank and gets baffled. Amid happy moments and fun with Savita, Brij gets a call from Ravi, elder son of Brij and Savita, an IAS officer by profession, that he can’t make it for Diwali. Brij is shattered but doesn’t let Ravi feel his pain and blesses him for his good future.
Brij tries to hide the news from Savita that Ravi couldn’t make it for Diwali. Savita guesses something is wrong but Brij distracts her by taking her Diwali shopping for their children. They share some romantic moments on their way to the market. Brij gets a call from his two younger sons, Anand and Deven that they can’t make it too for Diwali. Now that he cant hide the news any longer, Brij has to come clean, but tries to cheer up a shattered Savita. But with a very heavy heart, Savita asks her daughter, Chanchal not to waste her holiday by coming to Lucknow.
Savita and Brij try to console each other at the disappointment of their kids not coming for Diwali. A baarat passes by, and Savita and Brij remember their wedding and get ready in their wedding attires. Dancing to the beat of Baarat, they again get sad as deep down they are shattered. To cheer her up, Brijmohan surprises Savita by taking her to the Farmland and tells her about his retirement plans. Late that night, Savita and Brij get a pleasant surprise their children and grandchildren have arrived
Brij and Savita are on seventh heaven seeing their children and grandchildren. Savita delightedly distributes gifts and her special handmade toys to everyone. Savita and Brij try to think up schemes to make their children stay for a bit longer they come up with a plan to get married again. The next morning, while Brij is enjoying with his grandchildren, he gets a call from the Assistant Bank Manager who breaks the news to him that his Branch Manager turned out to be a fugitive after the raid in his house. Brij goes to the bank to check the records and gets shocked by seeing his name in the scam data
Savita is worried for Brij. Knowing him so well, she is sure that something is definitely wrong. Brij comes home with lots of sweets and pretends to be happy. Savita realises that he is hiding something. After confronting Brij, she comforts him saying that Brij is known for his honesty and integrity. So, nothing can tarnish his image. As the Diwali pooja is about to start, CBI comes to raid Brij’s house. Savita stands strong in front of the officials and shows full confidence in her husband. After searching the house, the CBI cant find anything. Everyone feels proud of Brijmohan. Minoli and Payal find a box full of jewellery and get surprised. Brijmohan then tells them the truth of artificial jewellery leaving everyone emotional.
Everyone starts bursting crackers. Annirudh is sitting alone, being scared by crackers, watching others enjoying the festival. Brij motivates and encourages him to burst crackers. Brij reads and newspaper and gets shattered after media defamed his name by printing incomplete information about the CBI raid. All family come together in his support. By seeing this, Brij gets happy. People taunts Brij at Fuggan Shop. Brij gets a call from Assistant Bank Manager that the bank will not continue his Gratuity and PF till the case gets solved. This wrenches his heart and leads to his accident. Everyone reaches the hospital and Savita stands strong and asks the doctor to tell the exact condition of Brij.

Savita is sleepless. Chanchal tries to console her. Meanwhile, Ravi announces to other family members that he can’t stay for thirteen days to complete all the Brij’s death rituals. Deven, Minoli and Anand become defensive and say that they too can’t stay for these many days. They decide to courier Brij’s remains to Haridwar. Chanchal listens this and yells at them for taking such an insensitive decision. On the day of Garud Puran Path, Savita decides to take all the Brij’s death rituals responsibilities on her. Unexpectedly, Assistant Bank Manager comes and breaks the news to everyone that Bank cannot let Savita to continue her stay in the house. Everyone gets shocked and in dilemma that what they will do to Savita Who will take her responsibility
Amit tells Chanchal that if Savita stays with them, he will be more than happy. Chanchal gets happy and immediately asks Savita but Savita denies. Minoli suggests to buy a small house in the same locality and arrange for a care taker who can look after Savita. Everyone agrees to this. Savita overhears their conversation and gets shattered with sorrow and pain. She doesn’t want to leave the house which is full of Brij’s memories. Suddenly she hears Brij’s voice. Savita hallucinates Brij and complains that why did he leave her alone Brij consoles her and tells her that whatever decision is taken by their children is for her good. Next day, Savita gets unconscious and Doctor suggests Ravi to take care of her without any carelessness. Everyone is worried that who will take Savita’s responsibility and comes into conclusion that lottery will decide Savita’s future. Savita gains consciousness and gets up, and is about to fall, suddenly Brij holds her.
Savita says to Brij that they never thought about their own home and future as their priorities are always their children. Brij consoles Savita. Meanwhile, Minoli throws the chits. Everyone picks the cheat. Ravi, Payal and Anand get relaxed. Deven has the chit with no. 1 written on it. Minoli gets pissed on Deven and calls him loser. Everyone gathers for last family dinner at their Lucknow house. Savita decides to come to Deven’s place after Brij’s tehravi. Savita is shattered seeing the empty house. All the children bid adieu to Savita. Savita requests Shukla ji to not to sell Brij’s scooter as she will come back one day to take it back from him. Chanchal consoles her. Everyone is ready to bid adieu to Savita.
