Among his most celebrated leelas is the lifting of Govardhan Hill, when Krishna protected his devotees by holding the mountain on his finger. For devotees, Govardhan is a symbol of divine grace, protection, and Krishna's boundless love. To honor this sacred bond, thousands of pilgrims perform the Govardhan Parikrama, many of them offering dandvat pranams throughout the journey.
